We run Spec Miata in SFR and PNW, which is very fun for us, but boring for our family when we only drive by them every 2 minutes. I came up with autotrak as a way to replace the dash videos we all share with our friends with exterior action shot. The idea is to allow each driver to watch the recorded race with the ability to keep the camera shot on their car the entire time. We'll do this by having GoPros recording the race while each driver will have our app running on their phone and in the car during each event. After the weekend is over our software will compile the data, and allow the drivers to view their footage from our website. 1st and 20th will have the same amount of camera time! As we develop further we'd like to make the video live during a race online, include in-car footage, provide access for the track officials, and add AI to track cars and action shots without the need for an app.
